Cutout Designer uses a proportional 5% bleed, so a 3 inch cutout gets approximately 0.15 inches of bleed on each side. The total cut size comes out to about 3.3 inches. Our tool calculates this automatically and shows you the bleed zone in real time as you position your image.
On a standard 8.5 x 11 inch letter page, you can fit approximately 6 cutouts (2 columns by 3 rows). On tabloid paper (11 x 17), you can fit around 12. Because 3 inch is the largest standard circle size, you get fewer per page, so tabloid paper is worth considering for larger print runs.
